About Us

A Brief History

Our founders, Amit Roongta and Vinod Kumar Roongta, have been pioneers in the metal fabrication industry for over 40 years. Before establishing RIU, they manufactured iron buckets under the locally renowned brand ‘Gwala’, which earned widespread recognition for its durability and craftsmanship. Recognizing industry trends and the growing need for high-quality construction tools, they pivoted into tasla manufacturing in the early 2000s. Since then, RIU has grown to become one of the largest and most trusted manufacturers in the region, serving over 200 clients and producing 3,500 MT of taslas per annum from our manufacturing plant in Kanpur.

About us

At RIU, quality is our top priority. All our products are made from high-grade GP (Galvanised Plain) or Zincro Sheets sourced from the most reliable sources. We are partners with SAIL (Steel Authority of India) and only source our products from BIS-approved manufacturers. All our products come with a quality guarantee in the form of a test certificate, to show our commitment towards providing quality and consistency in every order.

At our plant we have invested heavily in capital machinery over the years, to expand our capacity, with the likes of circle-cutting machines, hydraulic presses, dye-making machines, and bidding machines currently present and operating. With the help of this, we have been able to serve any and every need of our clients in the utmost satisfying manner.

At RIU, we don’t just manufacture metal products—we manufacture long-lasting relationships with our clients. Whether you are in the construction, infrastructure, agriculture, or any other sector our products aim to provide unmatched durability and reliability, wherever you decide to use them. That is just who we are.
